Get Your Go Bag Together - A Preparedness Workshop

Sat Sep 12, 2026 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM Make Fun Studio / Tree Farm Building, 850 SE 3rd St #202

Do you have a go bag ready in case you need to leave in a hurry? Go bags are easy-to-carry survival kits that contain everything you’ll need to get by for 1-3 days in the event of various emergencies and evacuations, and everyone needs one!

In this workshop, you’ll learn:

  • what kinds of scenarios go bags are for and what they’re NOT for

  • what supplies to include to meet the needs of you, your family, and your pets

  • strategies to overcome the overwhelm and get prepared more effectively

This is more than a presentation. You’ll have opportunities to ask questions, connect with other participants, and take home tangible tools to help you get started, including:

  • Printed and digital versions of MakeWith’s Go Bag Guide and Checklist for adults, children, and pets

  • A mini go bag starter kit containing five essential supplies to give you a head start

Whether you’re brand new to the idea of go bags or have been putting off assembling one for months (or years), this workshop will help you get prepared!

Want to order more emergency supplies?

During checkout, you will have the option to pre-order a selection of supplies we recommend for your go bags or stay kits. Cool right?

Orders made 1+ weeks in advance of the workshop date will be available for pickup at the workshop. Orders made within a week of the workshop date will require pick up after the workshop.

Thanks for supporting us little guys over the billionaire monopoly!

“Very organized and clear presentation, including explanations about why certain things are important (many of which I had never thought of).”

“The information shared was not too much, not too little, just right, and I loved all of the materials that Aria provided to help us get started!”

Sliding Scale Policy

We are a small, queer-owned business and we rely on ticket sales to cover the cost of workshop development, instructor time, admin, and overhead. We provide tickets on a sliding scale to increase access for those who need it and to allow others to support that access. Approximately 25% of tickets for each workshop are available at reduced cost. We trust participants to assess their own financial needs and pay at the highest level they can afford.
